The Country of Skyscrapers
There is almost nothing left to be said for the USA - a country so vast in territory and population, a country of such a prosperous development that whatever you can possibly imagine, you can see it in the states. But there is something unique for the US, something that changed the world of architecture and made a valuable contribution for the understandings of the modern day construction. Its is the skyscrapers that first appeared in the US and made it the country that currently is visited by millions just to have a glance at these glass and metal and concrete creatures that impress even the emotionless face.
There are people which cannot stand the view of a crowded and busy city such as the NY. But hardly is there anyone who admire its skyscrapers. The human has an attraction to greatness -a proved fact that has no doubts. So every NY visitor, who happens to see Manhattan, would share a quite “WOW"with the others around him when he sees the constructions so high, so glamorous and so amazing that sometimes the reaction is even louder. Made conventionally, according to the rules of coping with the density of the big city, the skyscrapers became something more than that -they became part of the culture for the whole nation.Now everywhere there are towers reaching to the sky housing financial advisors and the business bigwigs of the cities.
When in the US the first buildings of that type appeared, the world was amazed. The American people show that they are not only hardworking and persistent -they showed they are about to make a significant achievements in every sphere of life. The constructions from glass and concrete fascinated the world and amazed the architects throughout the world. This is how the USA made a huge contribution to the world, giving it a lesson in architecture, design, efficiency, conventionality and impressiveness.
